Frequently Asked Questions

Kenpo Karate is the ultimate practical street self defense.  I know you have questions so here are a few answers to help you get going.  Feel free to contact us with any other questions you may have.

01

When are class times?

Kenpo Karate class times can be found under each of the class pages or on the main class overview page.  Or just click on a link below to view the times for that class.

02

Can I try out the classes before paying?

Absolutely yes!  We let each new student try out two free Kenpo Karate classes before needing to make a monthly committment.

03

Do I have to sign a contract?

No.  We don't do contracts.  Life happens and we understand that.  We do ask for a committment one month at a time but no more than that.  However, once you get a taste of Kenpo Karate, we know you'll be in it for life.

04

Will I get injured?

Kenpo Karate is a very hands on and dynamic self-defense that is extremely effective.  However, while working with each other there is a lot of control utilized in class.  Aside from minor bumps and bruises, very few injuries happen in class.  We've never had anyone leave class with any serious injuries.

05

What should I wear?

When you're starting out, wear what you'd wear to the gym.  Clothing that is comfortable and doesn't restrict movement.  Once you've decided to continue classes you'll need to purchase a uniform.  We require everyone to have their uniform purchased in the first month once they've decided to become a regular Kenpo Karate participant.
